WolfPack women's basketball ready for UW-Rock

The Madison College women's basketball team is ready and waiting to pick up their third win of the season in four tries, when they host UW-Rock County this evening at 5:30 p.m. The WolfPack's lone loss of the season came to fifth-ranked Anoka-Ramsey Community College in this past weekend's Tri-State Basketball Classic.

Freshman guard Taylor Nelson has proven to be the hot hand for Madison College so far this season. Currently, Nelson is averaging just under 20 points per game for Jessica Pelzel. Sophomore Kelly Calhoun (10) is the only other player averaging double-figures for the 'Pack.

Averaging 75 points per game as a team, Madison College is currently outscoring their opponents by nine a game. The 'Pack is also committing six less turnovers per game than their competition.

Tonight's contest marks just the second home game for Madison College in 2014-15. Following the matchup with the Rattlers, the WolfPack will host NJCAA DI foe Sauk Valley Community College Wednesday, Nov. 19, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
