Box Score Madison College men's basketball coach
Scot Vesterdahl recently said, "I don't think we've shot the ball, as a team, like we're capable of all year." The WolfPack's shooting woes continued Monday evening at UW-Marathon County, with Madison College shooting 25 percent, as the Huskies downed the WolfPack 64-54.
Two players,
Brandon Holz and
Tanner Schieve, finished in double figures for the WolfPack, but the pair was a combined nine-of-28 from the floor. Holz led the team in scoring with 14 points, while Schieve added 10.
Madison College's offensive issues allowed UW-Marathon County to take a 32-21 lead into halftime. The 11-point deficit proved too much for the WolfPack to rally back from.
The 'Pack had plenty of opportunities in the game, forcing 28 Huskies' turnovers, but managed just 14 points off the Marathon County miscues. Adding to those issues, Madison College made just four three-pointers in 23 attempts.
The WolfPack (2-13, 0-2), will look to end their eight-game losing streak Wednesday, when they travel to in-state rival Milwaukee Area Technical College. Tipoff time is set for 7 p.m.
