WolfPack soccer suffers worst loss of season

For the first time this season, the Madison College soccer team has fallen under the .500 mark. Monday's trip to Joliet saw the WolfPack taken out 7-0.

The Wolves set the pace of play early, scoring two goals 10 seconds apart in the game's second minute. Another goal in the 14th minute would give Joliet Junior College a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.

The second half was no kinder to Madison College. The team would watch the Wolves find the back of the net four more times, as Bryan Chavez, Leatile Masula and Jonathan Iniguez all finished with two goals apiece.

Despite the bad loss, in which the WolfPack was outshot 28-13, goalkeeper Juan Martinez-Perez did manage to make seven saves on the day.

Madison College (3-4 overall, 3-2 conference) will look to get back on the winning track Saturday, Sept. 28 when they visit NJCAA Division I opponent Kishwaukee College. Kick-off in Malta, IL is set for noon.
