WolfPack soccer can't tame Triton

If Triton College is the face of North Central Community College Conference (N4C) men's soccer, holding an 8-1-1 record and having gone to last year's national tournament, the WolfPack has proved they're not far behind. Friday, Madison College fell 2-1 to the Trojans, their second single goal loss to Triton this season.

The Trojans would start the scoring, as Ruben Chaves picked up the game's first goal in the 37th minute. Triton would take the 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

The Trojans added to their lead in the second half, with Pikul Dominik scoring in the 67th minute. Despite trailing 2-0, the WolfPack would rally, getting a goal from top scorer Marcos Meneses in the 76th minute. Meneses was assisted on the play by Elliot Pieper.

Madison College (4-7, 4-3) was outshot in the game 28-6, but they made the most of their opportunities, with one of their two shots on net resulting in a goal.

The team will travel to Kenosha, Wis. for the Carthage College JV "Border Battle" Sunday. The WolfPack is set to square off with Lakeland College JV at 3 p.m.
