WolfPack soccer snaps four-game skid, beats Harper

The Madison College soccer team is back on the winning track. Wednesday, the WolfPack defeated Harper College on the road in overtime 2-1, breaking up their four-game losing streak.

The first half was a wash, with neither team able to get on the scoreboard. However, the pace of play would pick up in the second half.

The Hawks would fly out to a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute, off an Aldo Figueroa unassisted goal. Harper would hold that lead for 23 minutes, until Marcos Meneses put one past Sean Cox on an assist from Matthew Bodeau.

Heading into overtime at 1-1, Meneses and Bodeau would come up big again for the WolfPack. The freshmen duo would connect once more, with Bodeau finding Meneses for the game-winning goal.

Making the win even more impressive, the 'Pack finished the game with just 10 players on the field, after Eric Daniel was red carded late in the first half.

With the win, Madison College (4-6 overall) improves to 4-2 in North Central Community College Conference (N4C) play. They'll look for revenge against Triton College Friday, Oct. 4 at 4 p.m. The Trojans handed the WolfPack their first loss of the season back on Sept. 11.
