Box Score The Madison College men's basketball team was defeated by the College of DuPage Chapparals 77-50 in a N4C conference game in Madison on Saturday afternoon. The loss ended the WolfPack's bid for two straight wins, and dropped their overall record to 3-18 and 1-5 in the N4C.
The DuPage Chaparrals took the early 41 to 34 halftime lead behind 50 percent shooting from the field, including 5-of-11 (45.5%) from three-point range. The WolfPack also shot 50 percent from the field and 62.5 percent shooting (5-for-8) beyond the arc in the first half, but DuPage's clear advantage in points in the paint (18 to 12) and better passing (14 assists) were keys to taking the lead after 20 minutes. The second half really proved the Chaparrals superiority as they clamped down the WolfPack offense and extended the lead to as large as 27 points before holding on for the 77-50 win. DuPage wreaked havoc on any Madison College shot attempt and the Chaparrals held the home team to only 18.5 percent shooting from the floor in the second half. Besides DuPage's dominance in points in the paint during the win (42 to 18), the Chaparrals outshot Madison 49.2 percent to 33.3 percent, and the 15 player DuPage team wore down the 'Pack and received more scoring off of the bench (42 to 18).

Dominic Fumbanks (12) were the only players to reach the double digit scoring mark for Madison College. Miller also hauled down six rebounds and recorded two steals,
