WolfPack Storm to 2-1 in Conference

Box Score The Madison College Women's Basketball team improved their North Central Community College Conference (N4C) record to 2-1 with a 78-57 rout of the visiting Milwaukee Area Technical College Stormers on Wednesday night.  Taylor Pfeuti led all scorers with 22 points.

The WolfPack jumped out to a 40-29 halftime lead as the visiting Stormers committed 16 turnovers and the WolfPack converted those turnovers into 14 points.  Madison led by as many as 13 points midway through the half on Taylor Pfeuti's 16 first half points.  In the second half, the WolfPack pushed their lead to 25 points and eventually cruised to a 21 point win.  Madison College shot just 33% from the field and 16% from beyond the arc but were able to capitalize on 34 Stormer turnovers, scoring 35 points over those turnovers.

Taylor Pfeuti led the way for the WolfPack, scoring 22 points to go with her nine rebounds and five assists.  Courtney Spangler came up one rebound shy of her ninth double-double as she poured in 16 points and pulled down nine rebounds.  First year guard, Chelsey Schulenburg added 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting while fellow first year guard, Alyssa Anding, added five points and nine rebounds.

The WolfPack win pushed the team closer to .500 as they improved to 7-11 overall.  The 78-57 victory also improved their conference mark to 2-1.  They will play another conference game on Saturday versus Wilbur Wright College in Chicago, IL at 1:00 PM
