On Saturday, March 3, the 17-9 Madison College women's basketball team takes to the court for their first post-season game against a familiar North Central Community College (N4C) opponent, the Joliet Junior College Wolves.
The
NJCAA Region IV Tournament Semifinal game pits the two North Central Community College Conference (N4C) teams against each other in the second of two women's semifinals starting at 3:00 PM at the H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium on the Madison College Truax campus.
The #2 seeded Joliet Junior College Wolves and the #3 seeded Madison College WolfPack split the regular season series by each winning games on their opponent's home court. The WolfPack won on the road early in the conference season with a 76-70 overtime victory in Joliet, IL.
Thresia Elskamp had 25 points and nine rebounds in the win. Down 31-37 in the first half, the WolfPack tied the game, shooting 44 percent from the field in the second half and outscoring the Wolves by six in the extra frame. In their second meeting, the Wolves shot lights out from the field for the entire game for the 88-72 win in Madison, WI.
