WolfPack Women Fall to Loras College

The Madison College Women's Basketball team lost their second straight game in as many nights.  The WolfPack committed 26 turnovers giving the host Loras College DuHawks 29 points off those turnovers and Madison College lost 75-64 in Dubuque, IA.

The WolfPack trailed by just three points at halftime as they shot 50 percent from beyond the arc and made 6-out-7 free throws in the half.  In the second half, the WolfPack were outscored by eight points and shot just 33 percent from the field.  The DuHawks capitalized on 26 WolfPack turnovers outscoring Madison College 29-15 in points off turnovers.  The DuHawks also had a huge advantage in the paint where they outscored the WolfPack 24-2.

Thresia Elskamp had a game high 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds in the loss while fellow second year player, Morgan Lass, also contributed in double-figures with 11 points and five assists.

The loss puts the WolfPack's overall record at 14-8.  The Madison College Women will be in action again on Wednesday, February 15 against the #4 ranked team in the nation, Rock Valley College, in Rockford, IL.
