WolfPack Women Defeated by Cavaliers

Box Score The Western Technical College Cavaliers jumped out to a 34-26 halftime lead and held off the WolfPack threat for the 59-51 win over the host team in Madison Friday night. Western Tech outshot the WolfPack from the field 50% to 32% in the first half before keeping the advantage by nine percentage points in the second half. Overall, the Cavaliers outshot the 'Pack from the field 44.4% to 30.6% while dominating points in the paint 24-14. Western's inside presence also controlled the boards and out-rebounded the WolfPack 49 to 37.

Chelsey Schulenburg (12) and Taylor Pfeuti (11) both scored in double digits, and Pfeuti led the team with three steals while hauling down six rebounds. Ellyn Hayden led the team with seven rebounds, and recorded two steals and one block.

The 4-8 Madison College women's basketball team has over two weeks off before traveling to Park Hills, MO to play the Mineral Area College Lady Cards. As of December 17, Mineral Area College is 11-1 and ranked 19th in the nation in DI women's basketball by the NJCAA. The WolfPacks next home game isn't until 2013, when they host the UW-Marathon County Huskies on January 7, 2013.
