Fresh off a stunning overtime victory over Harper College, the Madison College soccer team couldn't keep the momentum going as the Triton College Trojans spoiled last Wednesday's emotional victory by defeating the 'Pack 4-0 two days later. Despite the benefit of a confidence building win under their belt and their third straight home game, Madison College was in trouble from the start as the Trojans jumped ahead with two first half goals before adding two more to seal the N4C win over WolfPack. The Friday, October 5 loss drops the WolfPack to 1-11 overall and 1-6 in the N4C.
On the bright side, Madison College did show improvement this time around as they were defeated 8-0 in mid-September by the same Triton team. The WolfPack were limited to six shots (3 on goal) by the stingy Triton defense in the shutout loss and
Ian Murphy picked up four saves in the game.
Next up for the 1-11 Madison College soccer team is a non-conference game against the Carthage College JV. The home game against the NCAA DIII team starts at 4:00 PM at Reindahl Park.
