After losing their last two games 0-8 and 0-9, the Madison College soccer team returned home last Saturday, September 29, and almost pulled out the non-conference win over the NJCAA DI Kishwaukee College Kougars. The WolfPack couldn't pick up the win though as they fell 2-1 to the Kougars to drop to 0-10 on the year.
Faced with a 2-0 deficit after the half,
Matric Kotula scored his fourth goal of the year off of a
Gottlieb Brandli III's assist six minutes into the second half to draw within one of the Kougars. Unfortunately the WolfPack couldn't muster any more offense, but on the bright side the defense held its own. Madison College was once again outshot 18 to 12 by Kishwaukee, including eight to three in shot on goal. However,
Ian Murphy did play a great game in goal, arguably his best of the season, as he registered a season-high 15 saves.
The 0-10 WolfPack soccer team remains home for a N4C conference game against the Harper College Hawks on Wednesday, October 3. Wednesday's game starts at 4:00 PM. The team plays four of their next five games at home, and other than Wednesday's match-up with Harper, the 'Pack plays in Madison on October 5, 7, and 13.
