The Madison College men's basketball team won their third straight game with a 78-70 victory over the UW-Marathon County Huskies Monday night. The WolfPack took control from the onset and jumped ahead 42-38 at the half behind 51.5 percent shooting from the field. The 'Pack then ratcheted up their defense in the second frame to hold on for the eight-point non-conference road victory in Wausau. The WolfPack showed their resiliency with 15 second chance points and used 40 defensive stops to UW-Marathon's 30 to walk away with the win.
Sophomore center Garret Borgrud paced the 'Pack with 27 points on 12 of 18 shooting from the field. He also pitched in seven rebounds. Sophomore forward

Alex Cook also reached double digits with 19 and 12 points. Kowalkowski led the team with seven assists and chipped in six rebounds, and freshman guard
Santiago Silva secured the team lead with eight rebounds.
Next up for the 6-14 WolfPack is a road conference matchup against the NJCAA Division II and conference leading Triton College Trojans on Wednesday, February 1. The away game in River Grove, IL starts at 7:00 PM. The 18-3 Trojans are ranked sixth in the latest NJCAA DII National Poll.
