WolfPack Soccer Team Shut Out for Sixth Time

Things don't seem to be getting any easier for the Madison College soccer team. Playing in their tenth game of the season on Sunday, the team was shut out for the sixth time falling 11-0 to the College of Lake County.

The Lancers were simply too much for the WolfPack early, scoring seven goals in the first half alone. Four players for the College of Lake County, Adrian Trujilo, Armando Alvarez, Emanuel Salgado, and Andres Gomez, accounted for the onslaught. The first half Lancer goals came at 3:34, 18:56, 29:44, 31:36, 34:49, 39:11, and 39:30.

The 'Pack would fair better in the second half, but not well. After the halftime break, Madison would give up just four goals. Two players would tally a hat trick for the Lancers in the victory, with Trujilo and Salgado scoring three and four goals respectively. The College of Lake County would finish with 23 shots on goal to just five for the WolfPack. Lost in the stats, Madison's freshman goalie Michael Riley did manage to make 11 saves on the day.

Still in search of their first victory this season, Madison College (0-10) will take a trip to Joliet Junior College on Wednesday, September 28th. The Wolves blanked the 'Pack 6-0 earlier this season.
