WolfPack Soccer Falls to College of DuPage

You can't say the Madison College soccer team is winless for a lack of effort. The WolfPack fought until the last minute against the College of DuPage Chaparrals on Wednesday, but unfortunately fell 8-0.

The first half proved to be the more difficult of the two for Madison College. The Chaparrals managed to score five times in the opening 45 minutes, including three times in the first 15 minutes. While allowing the five goals, sophomore goalkeeper Eric Liegel made seven saves.

The second half was a little better for the 'Pack. With Michael Riley in net Madison College gave up just three goals, while seeing the freshman make three saves. Offensively the WolfPack was outshot 37-3, getting just two shots on goal to the Chaparrals 21.

Madison College (0-6), still in search of their first victory of the season, will host Waubonsee Community College this Sunday, September 18th at 12:00 PM.
