The 2011 Madison College soccer season has begun, but not the way the WolfPack would've liked it to. Competing in their first North Central Community College Conference (N4C) contest, the 'Pack was beaten 8-1 at the hands of Triton College. To be fair, the Trojans are a very tough first opponent, making the NJCAA Division III Final Four just a season ago.

Triton got out to a strong start in the first half, scoring the first three goals of the game. However, Madison's Piero Alegria would answer back in the 23rd minute, cutting the Trojan lead to just two. Unfortunately, Triton would tally two more goals before the break, and another three after it. WolfPack sophomore Eric Liegel made five saves on the afternoon.

Madison College (0-1) will get a chance to bounce back tomorrow, Friday, September 2nd, when they host Concordia University JV at 5:00 PM in their home opener.
