DuPage Shoots Down WolfPack in NJCAA Quarterfinals

The Madison College women's basketball season came to end tonight in the NJCAA Region IV Quarterfinals at the H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium.  The visiting College of DuPage Chaparrals jumped out to a 42-27 halftime lead and never looked back, winning 68-54 to advance to the semifinals.

A scrappy College of DuPage team shot almost 55% in the first half, including 6-for-13 from three to lead the WolfPack by 15 points at halftime.  In the second half, the Chaparrals led by as many 24 points as the WolfPack struggled to find their rhythm offensively.  Madison College turnovers proved costly as well as the Chaparrals turned them into 29 points while shooting almost 72% from beyond the arc in the second half.

Second year guard, Shelby Beth, led the WolfPack in scoring with 18 points while fellow guards Mya Flentje and Jamie Nolan added 14 and 10 points, respectively.  Sophomore post player, Alicia Kopp, pulled down eight rebounds but only took six shots to score three points.

The WolfPack finish the season with 14-15 overall record.
