Late Rally Propels WolfPack to Victory

The Madison College men's basketball team used a late rally to take the lead with 2:14 left and used a Tyler Kowalkowski three pointer late in the game combined with some clutch free throw shooting down the stretch by Aaron Jones to claim their sixth conference victory, 63-56, over the College of DuPage Chaparrals.

After trailing most of the second half, the WolfPack took the lead with just over two minutes left and did not look back.  Aaron Jones was 6-for-6 in free throws in the final minutes including 9-for-10 for the game.  Jones ended with 13 points while teammate Corey Yahnke had a game-high 17 points on 5-for-8 shooting from the field and 7-for-7 shooting from the free throw line.  Garrett Borgrud also reached double-figures with 11 points.  The WolfPack shot 84% for the game from the free throw line and outscored the Chaparrals 12-0 from three point territory.

The win pushes the men's conference record to 7-6 and pushes their overall record to 14-13 with one game remaining.  The WolfPack men play Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee, WI this Saturday to finish up the regular season.
