WolfPack Lose Makeup Game

The Madison College women couldn't pull off the win in Sunday's makeup game in Chicago, IL, losing 59-69 to the Wilbur Wright College Rams. The loss dropped the team to 6-6 in the North Central Community College Conference (N4C) and 12-14 overall.

Down 27-29 at the break, Madison College's poor shooting and defense played a major role in the Rams big second half and the ten point loss. Wilbur Wright outshot the WolfPack 45% to 37% from the field, including 36% to 7% beyond the arc. The Rams also had the clear advantage in rebounding as they hauled down 48 boards to the WolfPack's 34.

Second year post player, Alicia Kopp, was the only player that reached double-figures for Madison College as she paced the team with 24 points. The Evansville, WI native shot 9-of-19 from the field and 6-of-10 from the charity stripe. Kopp also grabbed a team leading 8 rebounds, two short of her team leading eleventh double-double. Freshman post Emily Braaksma also grabbed eight rebounds in the loss.

The loss is the women's team second straight with only two games remaining on the regular season schedule. The women have a day off before hosting the College of DuPage in the final home game of the season on February 15.
