The Madison College women's basketball team couldn't hold off the Harper Hawks in NC4 action in Madison, WI. Harper used a strong second half surge to overcome a two point half-time deficit for the 56-48 win. The Hawks outshot the WolfPack 38% to 25% from the field in the pivotal second half and outshot them 35% to 24% overall.
Besides outshooting the home team, Harper College outrebounded them 54 to 36 and recorded 22 of their points from the line, while the WolfPack managed only 10 points at the stripe.
Post player Hannah Schwartzer paced the WolfPack with 16 points and 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Fellow post player Alicia Kopp also recorded a double-double, her tenth of the season. She finished with 12 points and a team leading 11 rebounds. Guard Jamie Nolan also finished in double digits with 10 points.
With the loss Madison College dropped to 12-13 on the year, including 6-5 in the N4C. The WolfPack are back at it tomorrow as they travel to Chicago to take on Wilbur Wright College.
