This year's playoffs were short lived for the Madison College soccer team. Playing at Waubonsee on Wednesday, the WolfPack would get shutout 6-0 in the NJCAA Region IV Quarterfinals. The loss ends the 2011 season for the 'Pack.
It took the Chiefs less than a minute to get the scoring started in the outing. Just 53 seconds into the game, Cesar Garcia would find the back of the net, giving Waubonsee the 1-0 lead. Three more goals would follow for the Chiefs in the first half. Garcia would score again at 9:14, along with Eduardo Llamas at 18:45, and Erik Madrigal at 25:23. The end result, a 4-0 lead after 45 minutes for Waubonsee.
The second half saw the Chiefs get right back to work. Just four minutes in, Joel Calderon would start the scoring back up. Tack on one final goal by Llamas at 54:47, and Waubonsee would pick up the 6-0 victory.
Madison College finishes their season at 1-17 overall, and 0-8 in conference play.
