The Madison College women's basketball team routed the visiting Milwaukee Area Technical Stormers by 32 points to win their tenth game of the season and even their overall record at 10-10.
Alicia Kopp and
Shelby Beth combined for 46 of the WolfPack's 79 points as the WolfPack won going away, 79-47.
Madison College had a season low four turnovers while forcing 16 Stormer turnovers. The WolfPack capitalized on Milwaukee's turnovers converting them into 24 points. Madison College also used a 27-3 advantage from beyond the arc to keep the Stormers at bay for the entire game. The WolfPack were up by as many as 36 points in the second half.
Alicia Kopp led the team in scoring for the seventh straight game, scoring 24 points on 12-for-21 shooting from the field. Former Reedsburg athlete,
Shelby Beth added 22 points on 6-for-9 shooting from three including hitting four straight in the first half. Point guard,
Mya Flentje, also reached double figures, scoring 10 points and grabbing five steals.
The WolfPack improve to 10-10 overall and 5-2 in the North Central Community College Conference (N4C). It will be a quick turnaround as the women play conference opponent, Triton College, at home, on Thursday at 5:30 PM.
