WolfPack Men Suffer Close Defeat

The Madison College WolfPack men's basketball dipped below .500 by suffering a 64-68 defeat to the College of DuPage Chaparrals in North Central Community College (N4C) action Saturday night.  Although the WolfPack outshot the College of DuPage in both halves, 21 turnovers were the difference in the four point loss.

The men were led in defeat by two double digit scorers in Aaron Jones (18 pts.) and Corey Yahnke (17 pts.). Jones, a second year guard from Menomonee Falls, was 5-for-12 from the field, including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc. He was also 4-of-4 from the charity stripe. Yahnke, the second year center from Eau Claire North, finished the night 8-for-10 from the field. He also led the team with eight rebounds, while first year guard and Muncie, IN native Mike Wynn paced the squad with seven assists.

After the loss in Glen Ellyn, IL, the WolfPack are now 9-10 overall and 3-3 in the N4C. The men return home and take on N4C foe Milwaukee Area Technical College Tuesday night.
