Madison College was held scoreless for the second time this season and dropped to 0-4 as they wrapped up their three-game homestand against College of Lake County in the 2-0 loss.

Through four games this season the WolfPack have scored just two goals, one coming against Triton College and one against McHenry County College. On a positive note, the offense got more looks against the Lancers than they have so far this season. The nine shots on goal against the Lancers matched the number of shots on goal in the their first three games combined. Despite not scoring a goal, the offense showed signs of life in the shutout loss.

On the defensive side of things, the WolfPack limited the Lancers to just seven shots on goal and it was the first time this season that the WolfPack had more shots on goal than their opponent.

The only goal that the Lancers scored in the first half came on a penalty kick. The Lancers proceeded to score another goal early in the second half to hang on for a close victory in Madison.WolfPack goalie Eric Liegel made three saves and allowed two goals.

After playing three-straight games at home, the WolfPack will venture on a four-game road trip that begins on Sept. 8 in Milwaukee. The WolfPack will look to pick up their first win of the 2010 campaign against a Milwaukee Area Technical College team that they went 3-0 against last season.
