Madison College lost to the No. 5 ranked Triton College Trojans 8-0 on Sept. 24 in River Grove, Ill. It was the second time this season that the Trojans defeated the WolfPack.
The Trojans scored just 27 seconds into the game and tacked on two more goals before halftime in their shutout victory over the WolfPack. The Trojans didn't let up as they scored an additional five goals in the second half.
Goalie
Eric Liegel saved eight goals, while allowing eight goals against a Trojan offense that took 25 shots in the game. The WolfPack offense struggled as they had no shots on goal and were held to just five shots on the day by the stingy Trojan defense.
The WolfPack open up a four-game homestand starting on Sept. 29 against Joliet Junior College at 4 p.m. The WolfPack and the Wolves met once earlier this year in Joliet, Ill. where the Wolves won a close 2-0 game.
