The #3 nationally ranked WolfPack women's basketball team clinched the North Central Community College Conference (N4C) title with their 81-78 victory over Joliet Junior College on Feb. 13. The WolfPack clinched the title in just their first season in the conference.
Madison College trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half, but used a strong second half performance to get the road win and improve to 11-1 in the N4C and 24-3 overall.
The WolfPack were led by first-year guard Jamie Nolan (Oakfield, WI, Oakfield) who scored a season-high 19 points on 4-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc. The trio of Gabi Hungerford (Wild Rose, WI, Wild Rose ), Kendra Mussehl (New Glarus, WI, New Glarus ) and Thresia Elskamp (Potosi, WI, Potosi ) scored 47 points. Hungerford poured in 17 points, pulled down seven rebounds and recorded four blocks. Starting guards Mussehl and Elskamp each added 16 points and 14 points respectively. Mussehl went 10-for-12 from the free throw line in the three-point WolfPack victory.
