The Madison College women traveled to Milwaukee fresh off of their first conference loss of the season and came away with the 71-55 victory over the Stormers. With the win they swept the season series against the Stormers and got back on track after a dismal shooting performance in Glen Ellyn, IL in their last game.
The WolfPack spread the ball around as 11 players scored. Gabi Hungerford (Wild Rose, WI, Wild Rose ) and Alyssa Bowe (Barneveld, WI, Barneveld ) came off the bench to lead the team with 12 points apiece. Alicia Kopp (Evansville, WI, Evansville), Mya Flentje (Baraboo, WI, Baraboo ) and Jamie Nolan (Oakfield, WI, Oakfield) all added nine points apiece for Madison College.
Thresia Elskamp (Potosi, WI, Potosi ) stole the ball five times from the Stormers to account for 13 of their 18 forced turnovers. She has totaled 19 steals in her last three games.
The short-handed Stormers only played six players and were outscored 52-2 by the WolfPack bench.
Madison College returns home on Feb. 2 to take on Triton College at 5:30 p.m. They defeated the Trojans 81-29 in their only meeting earlier this season. The WolfPack are 19-3 overall and 7-1 in the North Central Community College Conference.
