WolfPack Run Out of Gas in Second Half

Tonight's game was a tale of two halves as the WolfPack Women jumped out to a 40-35 lead at halftime against the visiting UW-Marathon County Huskies.  The team shot 50% from beyond the arc and 43% from the field in the opening half but the when the second half came around it was a completely different story.

The same hot shooting WolfPack team could not find their shot in the second half as they managed just 13% from beyond the arc and 21% from the field.  The team ran out of gas, scoring just 20 points to the Huskies 38 points.  The Huskies had 26 points off 23 WolfPack turnovers and outscored the WolfPack 24-10 in bench points to beat the host Madison College, 73-60.

With five injured players watching from the Madison College bench three players played more than thirty minutes including leading scorer, Shelby Beth.  Beth had 21 points on 4-for-7 shooting from three point land.   Starting post, Alicia Kopp played all but a 1:42 of the game scoring 16 points on 5-for-24 shooting.  Beth and Kopp also pulled down eight and six rebounds, respectively.

With the loss, Madison College falls to 3-4 on the season and will next face Kishwaukee Community College on Tuesday, December 7 in Malta, IL.
