Alicia Kopp leads the way for the WolfPack with 17 points.
The #1 nationally ranked Madison College Women's Basketball demonstrated their depth in a 69-37 win over the visiting Sauk Valley Community College Skyhawks. With two key starters ,
Thresia Elskamp and
Morgan Lass, injured, on the bench in street clothes, the WolfPack had ten players in the scoring column.
The WolfPack jumped out a 37-14 halftime lead as the team held the visiting Skyhawks to just 4-for-23 shooting. In the second half, it was more of the same as the WolfPack outscored Sauk Valley 32-23 forcing 23 turnovers and generating 25 points off those turnovers.
Second year post player,
Alicia Kopp, led all scorers with 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the field. Fellow second year player,
Shelby Beth also pitched in with 10 points.
The WolfPack improved to 3-2 on the year and will face Highland Community College in one week in Freeport, IL.
