WolfPack Drop Final N4C Match

Madison College dropped its final regular season North Central Community College Conference (N4C) game of the year in a 5-0 loss to Harper College in Palatine, Ill. on Oct. 13. After starting out the month with a 3-0 win, the WolfPack have dropped three straight games, two of which were at home.

The WolfPack fell into an early 3-0 hole to the Hawks and never recovered. The Hawks put up all three goals before the 18th minute of the first half and tacked on one more goal before halftime.

The Hawks defense limited the WolfPack to just five shots on goal, none of which were succesful in the shutout victory for the Hawks on their  home field.

Goalie Eric Liegel made eight saves and allowed five goals in the losing effort for the WolfPack. His 127 saves this season tops the Madison College record books for most saves in a single season with at least two more games to be played this season for the first-year goalie.

The WolfPack (3-12-1, 0-9-0) wrapup their regular season on the road in Dubuque, Iowa against an NCAA Division III school, Loras College JV, on Oct. 19. The very next day, the Region IV Tournament begins at 2 p.m., with the site of the match yet to be determined.
