Madison College never trailed in their 79-49 road victory over UW-Marathon County on Jan. 7 and led by as many as 33 points. The WolfPack jumped out to an early lead that they never relinquished, building a 50-23 by halftime.
After shooting a combined 29 percent from the floor in ther previous two games, the WolfPack shot a flaming 51 percent against the Huskies in Wausau, WI, making 29 of 56 attempts.
The WolfPack defense was efficient and converted 22 turnovers into 28 points. And while Madison College came out on fire, UW-Marathon County struggled shooting the ball. The Huskies were limited to just 16 made field goals on their home court by the WolfPack defense.
For the eighth time this season, second-year player Bobby Komorowski led the WolfPack in scoring. He had a game-high 23 points to go along with six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Drew Mandli pitched in with a season-high 12 points on 5 of 6 shooting while Montrell Hawthorne and Derrick Nillissen combined to score 15 points off the WolfPack bench.
The WolfPack will look to even up their conference record as they head to River Grove, IL to take on the Triton College Trojans at 7:00 pm in their first N4C road game of the season.
