The WolfPack found themselves trailing 1-0 late in the game against visiting College of DuPage on September 23.
Cole Hinueber (Wausau, WI, Wausau East) scored a goal assisted by
Thiemoko Kone (Dakar,SN, Senegal) with just under nine minutes left in regulation to tie the game up at 1-1.
The stingy Chapparal defense had allowed only one goal in conference play all season until Hinueber scored to tie the game at the 81:52 mark. The game ended in a 1-1 tie as the WolfPack became the first conference opponent to not lose against the Chapparals.
Goalie Michael Boerboom (Madison, WI, Madison Memorial) got his first start since the season opener and played well against College of DuPage. He made five saves and allowed only one goal.
