The #1 nationally ranked Madison College women's basketball team defeated perennial powerhouse UW-Waukesha of the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference 77-66 on Nov. 30 in Waukesha, WI.
The four-guard starting lineup for the WolfPack ran onto the court red-hot as they shot 19-39 from the field in the first half. Madison College used a 44-27 halftime lead to control the rest of the game against UW-Waukesha in the victory. The WolfPack improved to 7-0 on the season with the win.
The WolfPack were led in scoring by Gabi Hungerford's (Wild Rose, WI, Wild Rose ) 21 points. Second-year guard Kendra Mussehl (New Glarus, WI, New Glarus ) also played well as she scored in double digits for the third time in the last four games scoring 12 points to go along with seven rebounds. The WolfPack also got an all-around effort from first-year guard Thresia Elskamp (Potosi, WI, Potosi ) who scored six points, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out eight assists.
