WolfPack Let Early Lead Slip Away

The WolfPack were winning 3-1 at the end of the first half in their final regular season game against Kankakee Community College on Oct. 17. Madison College was shutout in the second half and Kankakee CC scored two goals to push the game into overtime. The Cavaliers struck first in overtime to take down the WolfPack 3-4 at the 96:30 mark.

Thiemoko Kone (Dakar,SN, Senegal), Nick Russell (Cottage Grove, WI, Monona Grove ), and Tim Kennedy (Verona, WI, Verona Area ) all scored for the WolfPack and Edward Berlanga (Milton, WI, Milton ) provided the only assist. Goalies Michael Boerboom (Madison, WI, Madison Memorial) and Matt Hovey (Monona, WI, Monona Grove ) split time for the fourth straight game. Boerboom saved two goals and allowed three while Hovey saved two goals and allowed one.

Madison College finished the regular season with a record of 8-6-1 overall and 5-3-1 in their first season in the North Central Community College Conference. The WolfPack limp into the post-season going 1-4 in their last five games.
