Katlynn Wirag

Katlynn Wirag begins her third year as an assistant coach at Madison College, but is certainly no stranger to WolfPack volleyball.

Wirag was a key member of the back-to-back NJCAA DIII National Championship teams, taking home National Tournament MVP honors in 2014. As an outside hitter, Wirag also earned first team all-conference, first-team all-region, Region IV Player of the Year, Region IV Tournament MVP, and first team All-America (NJCAA) accolades that same year. She currently ranks ninth in career kills (418), and holds the program record for kills in a match with 25 in a five-set win against Lorain County Community College in the NJCAA Division III National Championship Game.

Wirag followed up her successful playing career by spending the 2015 season as the team manager, was promoted to an assistant coach in 2016, and volunteered her services throughout the 2017 campaign. In addition, she has served as a head coach to numerous youth teams of the Wisconsin Performance Volleyball Club. Wirag has also been involved with the Keva youth volleyball program and gives private lessons.

The Stoughton, Wisconsin, native graduated from Stoughton HS in 2013. She earned two varsity letters playing for the Vikings, while also taking home second team all-conference and team MVP honors.

Wirag is never far from the game, as she enjoys competing in sand and grass volleyball in her spare time. Her other hobbies include rollerblading, traveling, attending concerts and music festivals, and spending time with family and friends. Wirag currently lives in Madison and works as a Department Manager at Festival Foods.
