Jim Wickert became the MATC assistant softball coach in 2008 and is in his second season as a MATC assistant and is starting his first year under head coach Jessica Pelzel. Wickert has served as the McFarland assistant softball coach from 1988 to the present.

Wickert received a 2008 Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Association Coaches Award for outstanding service and was named assistant coach for the 2006 WFPSA Senior All-Star Game.
