Bridget Jost

Bridget Jost is entering her fifth season as an assistant coach for the Madison College softball team after being hired in July 2018. She previously has also served as a supervisor of the Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Sports Complex and in the Madison College Recreation Department.

Jost was a standout for pitcher for the WolfPack from 2013-14, finishing with the second lowest career earned run average in program history at 1.68. She also sits eighth for total strikeouts with 95, 11th in career innings pitched (112.1), and tied for 13th in career wins after going 8-6 in the 2014 season. That season she tossed a dozen complete games. As a result, Jost earned first team all-conference and all-region honors. Additionally, she was named the Madison College Top Female Scholar Athlete, earned Madison College Exemplary Academic Achievement accolades, and was N4C Academic All-Conference

After Madison College, Jost continued her softball career at NCAA Division II UW-Parkside (Kenosha, WI) from 2016-18. Pitching for the Rangers, Jost made 31 career appearances and posted a 2-12 record with a 5.94 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 70-plus innings of work. She continued to rack up awards for her work in the classroom, including NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete (2016-17), Academic All-GLVC Team (2017-18), and the Athletics Awards Certificate for Academic Achievement (2016). In addition, Jost received the UW-Parkside Department of Exercise Science Academic Achievement Award (2017), GLVC Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar Award (2017-18), GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award Winner (2017-18), and served as a RSAAC Student Leader from 2015 to 2018. Jost graduated from UW-Parkside in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science.

Jost's coaching resume spans five years, and includes assistant softball roles with the Columbus Xplozion from 2013-15 and with the Marshall U10 team in 2018. She also was the Madison Memorial Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball Coach for the 2013-14 season.

A graduate of James Madison Memorial High School in Madison, Jost was a three-sport athlete and an eight-time letter winner. She spent four-years on the varsity softball and basketball teams, while also playing one year of volleyball. Jost was named second team all-conference as a utility player in the Big 8 Conference her senior year (2012-13), while also being voted team captain. On the hardwood, she was a two-time all-conference honoree and two-time team captain.

Jost currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin, and in her free time enjoys listening to music, watching movies, reading, hanging out with family and friends, trying new restaurants, eating ice cream and popcorn at the Wisconsin Memorial Union, and going to Wisconsin Badgers football games.
