Allie Taylor

Allie Taylor is entering her second season as an assistant coach for the Madison College softball team after being hired in January 2018.

Taylor has spent the previous two years as a coach with GRB Academy in DeForest, Wisconsin. During that time she has fulfilled roles as a private instructor and pitching coach, as well as the head coach of the GRB 16U softball team during the summer of 2017. Additionally, Taylor served as the Waunakee Village 12U (2014) and 14U (2016) head coach.

"I am a firm believer in striving for excellence and living to be your best every day...My goal as a coach would be to make sure that I mold an individual into becoming the best possible person they can be."

Taylor enjoyed a highly successful collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay from 2013-2017. As a first and third baseman, Taylor helped the Phoenix win the 2014 Horizon League regular season and conference tournament championships, earning the program's second appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Taylor holds the school record for career home runs with 18, while also holding a spot in the among the top ten in nearly every single career and single season hitting category. She was a Second Team All-Horizon League selection as a senior (2017), and was named to the Horizon League's All-Newcomer Team following her freshman season (2014). Taylor also earned all-conference scholar-athlete honors all four years of her career. She graduated from UW-GB in 2017 with a degrees in Spanish & Latin American Studies, Education, History, and Coaching. 

Taylor attended Waunakee High School, where she was a ten-time letter winner in softball (4), tennis (4), and basketball (2). As an infielder and pitcher, she earned all-conference accolades in the Badger-North Conference four years in a row, and also picked up all-district and all-area honors. Taylor graduated as the school's record holder in career hits, doubles, at-bats, and assists. 

Taylor currently resides in Waunakee, Wisconsin. Away from softball, she enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, and playing various recreational sports.
