Q: How many credits must you take to compete in intercollegiate athletics at Madison College?
A: You must be a full-time student, officially registered for a minimum of 12 degree-level credits.
Q: I attended a different college and want to compete in athletics at Madison College. What are the eligibility requirements?
A: If you were registered for 12 or more credits past the first 18 days of the start of classes, you must have passed a minimum of 12 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.00. If you were a part-time student (under 12 credits), you should be immediately eligible. You must provide the college with all of the transcripts.
Important Considerations
- You must be a full-time student (minimum 12-degree level credits) during the season of competition.
- If you are a new student entering college for the first time, you must be registered for 12 or more credits.
- To compete in a second year, you must have accumulated a minimum of 24 credits with a 2.00 or higher GPA.
- You may only compete at the NJCAA level for two seasons. They must be your first two seasons of intercollegiate athletic competition in that particular sport.
- If you are a transfer student, you must have an official copy of all college transcripts on file with the college.
