MADISON, WISC. - Sophomore
Emily Wiederholt dominated Waubonsee Community College with a no-hitter in the opener of a NJCAA Region IV doubleheader sweep on Friday, April 20 at
Robert D. Goodman Softball Field. The no-no highlighted an 11-0 win, which was followed by a 13-0 victory as the
#15 WolfPack earned run-rule decisions in both contests with the Chiefs. The pair of wins extends the 'Pack's current win streak to six games and brought the all-time record between the two programs to an even 9-9.

Sophomore
Emily Wiederholt struck out eight batters for the second straight game en route to tossing her first career no-hitter in the five-inning win. The Cuby City, Wisconsin, native walked four batters as she improved to 5-2 on the season.

The WolfPack provided some early run support with a three-run first inning that included RBI singles by
Maegan Brookins and
Katelin Gilbertson. Brookins also scored on a successful double-steal. Four more runs came in during the second inning thanks to four straight singles to open the frame. The scoring was capped by another four-run inning in the third, highlighted by a two-run double by
Hannah Grahl that was sandwiched between RBI singles from
Paige Cornelissen and
Ashley Kniesel.
Sam Schloegl, Brookins, and Kniesel all posted two-hit games, with Schloegl and Brookins matching
Dany Gumz and
Bre Feiler to the team lead with two runs scored. Grahl drove in a team-best three runs and scored another, while Cornelissen registered two RBI and a touch of home.

The day's finale opened with the WolfPack putting up a single run in each of the first two innings, the latter on a
Dany Gumz double to center that scored
Brittany Bredemann. Madison College pulled away from Waubonsee (11-21) with a seven-spot in the third.
Claire Brzenk ignited the big inning with a single and a three-base error to score. Gumz added another two-run base hit with a single and sophomore
Ashley Burg made it 9-0 with a two-run home run to right for her first homer of the season. In the fourth, Gumz added to her stellar game with another RBI double as the 'Pack added their final four runs.
Gumz, a native of Marshall, Wisconsin, went 3 for 3 with two doubles, drove in a career-high four runs, and scored two more. Bredemann, a fellow freshman from Stratford, Wisconsin, also went 3 for 3 and scored a team-high three runs. Brzenk,
Allison Tomlinson, and Burg all added two hits, with Brzenk scoring two runs and the other two each registering two RBI and one run scored.
Sophomore
Mackenzie Terrill (7-0) did her part on the pitcher's rubber with a three-hit shutout over five innings. The Milton, Wisconsin, product struck out four batters, walked one, and hit two to remain unbeaten on the season.
Madison College has outscored its opponents by a 63-3 margin during their current win streak.

The WolfPack have won the last five meetings with the Skyhawks and are 6-2 all-time. First pitch is at noon, with game two to follow at approximately 2:00 p.m.
