The Madison College softball team extended their winning streak to seven games and improved to 16-11 after impressive 12-3 and 6-0 wins over the St. Cloud Technical and Community College Cyclones and the Rochester Community and Technical College Yellowjackets in Rochester, MN Saturday afternoon.

In game one, the WolfPack offense didn't hold anything back in their first at bats on their way to scoring 11 runs in the top of the first inning in the 12-4 affair. Madison also added a run in the second inning before the game was shortened to five innings due to the huge lead.

The trio of
Brenna Seeber,
Brooke Heck, and
Cheyenne Holmes all add three hits to account for nine of the 13 hits the WolfPack recorded. Holmes brought the most firepower to the dish as she went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI, and two runs scored. Heck, who finished 3-for-3, also added a double, three RBI, and one run scored. Seeber finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a RBI in her familiar leadoff spot.
Breanna Bollig did her best to keep up with the trio in her 1-for-3 day. She also added two RBI and two runs scored, while
Meredith Holt added a double in her only at bat.

Jenalee Wilson picked up her third straight win on her way to improving to 9-3 in a solid five inning start. She gave up four hits, two earned runs, while striking out two.

The WolfPack offense wasn't nearly as flashy in the second game of the Rochester CTC Invitational, but they did put up six runs and starting pitcher
Hannah Jensen shutout the Yellowjackets in seven innings for the shutout 6-0 win.

Brooke Heck swung the hot bat again on her way to a 3-for-4 day with a double and two RBI. She now has a .506 batting average on 45 hits in 89 at bats, including 15 doubles for a .674 slugging percentage. Both are team highs.
Brenna Seeber and
Cheyenne Holmes also had big games, as Seeber finished the game 2-for-5 at the dish with one RBI and one run scored. Holmes added her second home run of the day, and finished 1-for-3 in the game with one RBI, one run, and one stolen base. Holmes now has a team high three home runs to go with her 10 doubles.

Starting pitcher
Hannah Jensen threw arguably her best seven innings of the season on the way to her second shutout win of the season. She allowed four hits and struck out a season high eight on her way to improving to 4-5 on the season.

The WolfPack softball team gets back to North Central Community College Conference (N4C) play when they travel to Glen Ellyn, IL on Tuesday, March 29. The first game of the doubleheader against the College of DuPage Chaparrals starts at 3:00 PM. The 13-11 and 4-1 (N4C) WolfPack and the 13-4 and 3-2 (N4C) Chaparrals sit at the number two and three spots in the N4C standings.
