Adam Eichstedt

Adam Eichstedt came to Madison College in the fall of 2015 to assist with day-to-day operations within the athletics department, focusing on website content, social media, and game day operations. In 2022, he was promoted to Athletic Communications Director, and in 2023 was re-hired as the Athletic Communications & Marketing Coordinator. Since his arrival, he has become the PA voice of nearly every home WolfPack event, and served as assistant golf coach alongside head coach and father, Glenn Eichstedt, from 2018 to 2024.

During his first two years leading athletic communications, Eichstedt has been recognized on several occasions by the College Sports Communicators (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America). The organization named the department's "AHEAD OF THE PACK: A Title IX & Madison College Story" video tribute as the Top Video Feature among two-year schools in the 2022-23 Publications & Digital Design Contest in June 2023, and in October 2023, the department was the featured school in the CSC 360 series with "Madison College Sets a Two-Year College Standard" for investing in staff development and student-athlete recognition. Eichstedt and Madison College were also selected as the CSC 2ySIDA Department of the Month for January 2024, which led to winning the CSC 2ySIDA Sports Information Director of the Year at the CSC Unite 24 Convention in Las Vegas in June 2024.

In 2018, he created his own business, Eichstedt Athletic & Communications Consulting, LLC, to better facilitate his role as Athletic Communications Assistant, as well as SportReporting.com Project Manager. He was a Madison College Contractor of the Year nominee for the 2022-23 academic year.

In addition to Madison College, Eichstedt fulfills many various roles in the sports community around Madison. From 2013 to 2024, Eichstedt served as a play-by-play broadcaster and public address announcer for Edgewood College volleyball and basketball.

Eichstedt spent ten years in sports radio, doing play-by-play for high school sports and University of Wisconsin women's basketball and volleyball, as well as contributing to daily sports talk shows and sports updates. He also was the emcee and game day host at the Kohl Center for Wisconsin Badgers men's hockey, and men's and women's basketball.

A 2001 graduate of Lomira High School, he played basketball, football, and golf. He helped guide the Lions to the WIAA State Basketball Tournament as a junior (2000), and was selected to the WBCA Senior All-Star Games after his senior year. Following one year at Lake Forest College, Eichstedt transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and History.

He currently lives in Stoughton, Wisconsin, with his wife, Jess, and their sons, Everett and Archie. In his free time, Eichstedt enjoys playing golf, attending sporting events, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
