SEASON PREVIEW: 2025-26 Madison College WolfPack Men's Basketball

The Madison College men's basketball program is ready to be mentioned among the perennial powers throughout a very deep and challenging Region 4. The WolfPack and head coach Jason Roscoe will have plenty of opportunity to prove they belong as they embark on a new season and strive to push the program to new heights off the heels of a very successful 2024-25 campaign.

“As we head into a new season, there’s a lot to be excited about. Our returners bring leadership, experience, and the hunger to build on last year’s success. They’ve set the standard and know what it takes to compete at a high level. At the same time, our incoming players bring fresh energy, talent, and a drive to make their mark. Together, this group has the potential to do something special. If we stay focused, stay connected, and commit to the work—there’s no limit to what we can achieve.”

Returners

The WolfPack brings back eight players from last year's 19-10 team that reached the Region 4 Tournament semifinals and was ranked as high as #16 in the NJCAA Division II Poll. They accounted for nearly 55% of the team's scoring a season ago, led by guards Carson McCormick and George Whaley IV. The backcourt tandem averaged 12.5 points and 10.8 points, respectively, with McCormick providing a long-range shooting threat and Whaley leading the team in assists and ranking third in rebounds. Wing Ryen Jones (9.6 ppg, 4.7 rpg) and guard Jevon Campbell (5.2 ppg) combined for 19 starts, while Jackson Bertagnoli (8.2 ppg), Wil Dietrich (3.0 ppg), and Kade Coppage (1.7 ppg) all played valuable minutes.

“We’re excited about the core group of returners we have coming back this year. My hope is that their experiences both on-and-off the court will serve as a foundation for leadership, guiding our newcomers as we continue to grow and push toward our goals.”

Newcomers

A mix of freshmen and sophomores, and guards and forwards, make up the large incoming group joining the WolfPack. Guard Braylen Blue (Sun Prairie, WI) transfers in after spending his freshman season at Saint Francis University before a redshirt year at Salt Lake Community College, while wing Noah Compan (La Crosse, WI) transferred from North Iowa Area Community College and a forward Carson Jensen (Reno, NV) arrives after playing one season at Feather Ridge College in Quincy, California. The freshman group includes guards Isaiah Robinson (Pewaukee, WI), Jacob Ulrich (Gentofte, Denmark), and Cam Williams (Verona, WI), as well as forwards Mesiyah Ashley (Milwaukee, WI), Luke Rayner (Brisbane, Australia), and Carter Sullivan (Stoughton, WI).

“We are pleased to welcome a strong group of incoming student-athletes to the program this season. They bring with them a great deal of potential, enthusiasm, and a willingness to contribute. It is our hope that they will integrate well into our team culture and benefit from the leadership and experience of our returning players, both on-and-off the court.”
