The WolfPack, seeded seventh in the region, won their quarterfinal tournament opener over (10) Milwaukee Area Technical College by a 6-1 final before falling to host and second-seeded College of Lake County 3-0. Goodman Softball Field. The WolfPack defeated Moraine Valley Community College 5-3 before the Cyclones took the finale 9-3, which puts the all-time series at 5-2 in favor of the Pack. The game was interrupted in the first inning by a lengthy lightning delay, and proceeded to go eight innings before the Chaparrals plated the game-winning run on a two-out ground ball up the middle misplayed by the Pack. The Chaps now lead the all-time series by a 27-25 margin despite winning only three times in the last 19 head-to-head games.
