The game-by-game schedules for Madison College's fall sports programs have been released for the upcoming 2026-27 athletic season, which includes the start of the athletic department's newest varsity sport. Women's golf will make its debut in the Fall 2026 semester, marking the first time the sports has been offered in the more than six decades of athletics at Madison College. They are scheduled participant in their first competition on Saturday, August 22 at the Sandburg Invite, held at Lake Bracken Golf Course in Galesburg, Illinois. That is one day after the men's golf team starts their 2026-27 season with an annual trip to Park Hills GC in Freeport, Illinois, for the Highland "36". On that same Friday, August 21, the men's and women's soccer teams will host Western Iowa Tech Community College in the season and home debuts for both team. The WolfPack men are fresh off the program's first Region 4 championship and appearance at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. The Madison College Athletics Department announced a group of outstanding former student-athletes to be inducted into the Madison College Athletic Hall of Fame as the Class of 2026. Former student-athletes Shane Ellis (men's basketball), Brandon Gibis (baseball), Patrick Houlihan (men's soccer), and Brock Roder (men's basketball) will be inducted during a ceremony held on Thursday, October 8 at Madison College Truax Campus to open the department's second annual Athletics Alumni Weekend. Additionally, long-time women's basketball assistant coach Mike Mayfield will be presented the Doug Redsten Memorial Service Award. Three Madison College student-athletes were named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Americans this week after stellar performances during their 2025 seasons. Freshman Allie Andrews of WolfPack women's volleyball received first team accolades, while sophomores JJ Espinosa and Rodrigo Lasso of WolfPack men's soccer were second team honorees. The trio gives Madison College a total of 121, with Andrews becoming the 19th such recipient in women's volleyball and the duo of Espinosa and Lasso make it a dozen All-American distinctions for men's soccer. A historic season that resulted in the program's first Region 4 championship and first NJCAA National Tournament appearance now also includes eight players being named to the All-Region 4 teams. Sophomores JJ Espinosa, Rodrigo Lasso, Cole Rogers, and Hudson Nielsen, along with freshman Caylen Coventry, received first team accolades.
