Robin Roberts has been one of the most involved alumni in the school's history. He was successful as a student-athlete, and has become even more successful as an area architect, contractor, and builder for his own corporation.

Roberts came to MATC from Dodgeville, Wisconsin where he was twice the Team Captain and MVP, as well as an All-Conference player. In his two years at MATC, he established himself as a strike out pitcher, averaging over one strike out an inning. Also, as an Architectural Technology student, he compiled an outstanding 3.7 GPA.

Robin went on to play Home Talent League baseball, where he was an eight time All-Star. He won the prestigious Kendall Murray Award in 1978 as the League's Outstanding Pitcher, and was the Western Division MVP in 1988.

Robin's awards were not limited to baseball. He was the State Winner of the Association of Builders and Contractors. "Project of Distinction Award" in 1996 and 1997. In 1997 he was also the National winner of this prestigious award. Roberts is also found in the "Who's Who in Executives and Professionals," and is President and Owner of Roberts Construction Associates, Incorporated. Robin also received the Marvin Brickson Distinguished Alumni Award here at MATC.

At MATC, Roberts has continued his involvement, not only as the general contractor, project manager, and major donor to the MATC baseball facility; but also as President of the "On Deck Club," the baseball booster organization. He was the winner of the Gary Trachsler Memorial Award in 1998 for his oustanding commitment to the MATC Baseball Program.

He still found time to volunteer for the YWCA, where he won their support for Outstanding Special Support.

Robin lives in DeForest and has three children, Sarah, Molly, and Maggie.
