#5 Madison College back home Thursday riding eight-match win streak

RIVER GROVE, ILL. - A clean sweep of Triton College on Tuesday has extended several significant win streaks for the Madison College volleyball team. The WolfPack are currently riding an eight-match win streak, while also furthering a stretch of consecutive match wins over the Trojans to 18 in a row. And with scores of 25-7, 25-12, and 25-12, the 'Pack has not dropped a single set to Triton (1-2, 1-1) over those 18 matches, a run of 54 straight.

Madison College hitters misfired just seven times in the match, finishing with a hitting percentage of .400. The 'Pack has now reached the .400 mark for a match in back-to-back outings.

Eight different players recorded a kill in the match, led by freshman Paige Hostetler's eight. The native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, has now been the top hitter in two straight matches. Five others amassed at least four kills for the WolfPack, with sophomore Lori Sanders and freshman Kendra Nicolay both surpassing the .600 mark for attack percentage at .667 and .625, respectively. First year Olivia Darkow dished out 17 assists and returnee Keely Brown had 16 in coach Ashley Davis' two-setter system. Freshman Paige Alsum, a former Randolph HS athlete, tallied three service aces.

Brown, a Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, native, had 11 digs to reach her sixth double-double in the last seven matches. Sanders led the WolfPack block with 4.0, one better than Samantha Jacobsen's 3.0 blocks. Sanders, a transfer from UW-Baraboo/Sauk County, now leads the team in blocks with 30.0, and is averaging 0.73 per set.
