The Madison College women's volleyball has added another incoming recruit to the Class of 2017, pushing the number of new additions to eight.
Paige Alsum (Randolph, WI) signed her National Letter of Intent to join the WolfPack in 2017.
Paige Alsum
Alsum, a 5'5" libero/defensive specialist, was second in digs and third in aces for Randolph HS in 2016, her third year on varsity. She aided the Rockets in qualifying for the WIAA Division 4 State Tournament and finishing with a 32-7 record. Alsum ended her three-year varsity career more than 600 digs and 135 aces.
Coach Ashley Davis on Alsum: "Paige has the ability to play anywhere in the back row and gained valuable experience in big matches in 2016. She reads attackers well and has a very aggressive serve."

Mariah Capra
Capra is a 5'11" middle blocker from Turtle Lake HS and was a two-time first team all-conference honoree in the Lakeland-Central Conference. Capra hit .212 for her career with 578 kills, 391 digs, 114 blocks, and 169 service aces.
Coach Ashley Davis on Capra: "Mariah is very athletic at the net. She is quick to close the block and provides great defense against the attack. On offense, she has a fast arm swing and finds the seam between blockers well."
Rhiannon Colvin
Colvin is a 5'10" outside hitter and was named second-team all-Capitol-North Conference after leading Poynette HS to a 2-13 season. She posted 215 kills, 172 digs, 102 blocks, and 27 service aces during her prep career.
Coach Ashley Davis on Colvin: "Rhiannon is a utility player who is very effective as an OH or OPP. Defensively, she provides a nice block. Rhiannon has a quick arm and good speed, which makes her an efficient attacker."
Paige Hostetler
Hostetler is a 5'10" outside hitter from Bay Port HS who tallied 113 kills during her senior season. The Pirates posted an 18-8 record and Hostetler was named first team all-conference in the Fox River Classic Conference.
Coach Ashley Davis on Hostetler: "Paige has the ability to hit a variety of different angles and shots. She sees the floor well and is able to find open spots for the kill."
Olivia Marron
Marron is 5'10" and can play numerous positions along the net, a versatility that made her a three-time all-conference selection in the Ridge & Valley Conference. She also was a member of the La Farge HS High Honor Roll, and competed in basketball and track & field.
Coach Ashley Davis on Marron: "Olivia has the ability to attack from any position on the floor. She has a fast approach and arm swing, and will transition to the college game nicely."
Kendra Nicolay
Nicolay is a 5'4" libero and was selected second team all-conference as a senior for her work in helping the Blue Devils to 15-14 overall record. As a junior Nicolay earned honorable mention honors in the Capitol-North Conference.
Coach Ashley Davis on Nicolay: "Kendra has a natural ability to read the attack and is very good at ensuring the ball never hits the floor. She will help anchor our defense and serve receive."
Lori Sanders
Sanders is a 5'10" middle blocker transferring to the WolfPack from UW-Baraboo, earning first team all-conference and all-tournament selections in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference. She helped guide the Fighting Spirits to a conference and state title with a 10-1 record, finishing the season with 66 kills, a .295 attack percentage, and 27 blocks. As a prep, Sanders was a three-sport standout at Portage HS and was named first team All-Badger North Conference in volleyball as a senior.

Maddie Scalissi
Scalissi is a 5'5" libero from Milton HS who earned second team all-conference as a senior and honorable mention all-conference as a junior in the Badger-South Conference. She helped the Red Hawks to a 23-17 record over her two seasons on varsity.

Maddie reads the attack well and reacts quickly on defense - making sure the ball doesn't hit the floor. She will be another defensive anchor for the team!"
Madison College finished 2016 ranked #2 in NJCAA DIII, as well as runner-up in the North Central Community College Conference and NJCAA Region IV after a 27-5 campaign. The WolfPack open the 2017 season on Tuesday, August 22 with a road contest against the Clarke University (NCAA Division III) JV. The match has a 5:00 p.m. start in Dubuque, Iowa. The home opener at
H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium will be Thursday, August 31 with a N4C showdown with the College of DuPage at 6:00 p.m.
