MADISON, WIS. - The Madison College women's soccer team faced its toughest challenge thus far, taking on #5 Rock Valley College at Warner Park in Madison on Friday. The WolfPack was off to the best start in program history, and sporting a two game win streak, however the Golden Eagles proved to be too much in a 2-0 set back for Madison College.
After a scoreless first half, and plenty of chances for both sides, the Golden Eagles were finally able to break the scoreless contest. In the 78th minute, Katie Grubb found the back of the net. Just two minutes later, Brianna Perez made it 2-0 Rock Valley, putting the game out of reach for the WolfPack. The 'Pack was only able to tally six total shots on goal the entire game.

Brandie Gospodarek, while taking the loss, was excellent between the posts. The Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, native was able to fend off 17 of the 19 shots she faced, allowing her team to stay in the game to the very end.
The WolfPack will look to bounce back against Joliet Junior College on Wednesday, September 7 in Joliet, Illinois, at 4:00 PM.Â
