The History of Brandon Parr’s No-hitter

Second year baseball player Brandon Parr brought his A game to the April 14 doubleheader against the Elgin Community College Spartans, and joined the baseball history books in the process. Parr's no-hitter in the 6-0 win was the first since the 2011 season when Parker Schrage held the Milwaukee Area Technical College Stormers hitless on April 9, 2011. The Eagle, WI native mowed down the Elgin batters and only allowed four walks and hit two batters to go along with his five strikeouts in seven innings in the recent no-hitter. Parr is currently 4-1 on the season, and has put up a 9-1 record over 67.2 innings pitched to go along with 40 strikeouts and a 1.78 ERA in his two seasons.

After a four year hiatus from no-hit ball, Schrage had a chance to congratulate Parr after his no-hitter since the duo are both currently a part of the Madison College baseball program. Schrage, who graduated from Madison College in 2011 and then pitched for the University of Dayton for two seasons, is currently an assistant coach on the WolfPack baseball team.

Parr's no-hitter is the seventh in WolfPack baseball history since the 2001 season, and is the first to take place at Robin Roberts Field since Stephen Gilgenbach no-hit the Rock Valley Golden Eagles on April 20, 2006.
